English Literature - Black Hole CH-35 Suzan visits Stella

Daniel and Suzan stood at Stella's door. Suzan rang the doorbell, and they waited to open it. Anticipating that it may take some time, Suzan turned and looked around the garden.
"The plants are dying." Suzan pointed out.
"Stella may not be able to look after... How can she look after when her own tree of life is completely collapsed" Daniel expressed his sympathy for her.
They were discussing when the door opened. Stella stood in the open door.
Stella forcefully smiled, as she was not expecting them. She attempted to make her clothes proper.
"Suzan, Daniel ... How are you? When did you come back?" Stella said in astonishment.
Stella and Suzan hugged each other.
Stella walked Suzan and Daniel in. As they met after such a long span, Suzan and Stella were chatting and laughing while coming in, holding each other's hands. When they reached the foyer and when she saw Jacob sitting on a sofa, Suzan took out her hand from Stella's. It seemed Suzan did not like his presence. Jacob fumbled trying to hide his expressions and trying make his messed clothes and hair proper.
He got up and came forward to greet Suzan and Daniel, "Hello, Suzan "
Suzan ignored him. Jacob shook hand with Daniel, resting other hand on his shoulder.
"Hi Daniel, How was the honeymoon?" Jacob said, trying to generate a fake smile.
"Fine! Just fantastic!" Daniel said, stealing a look at Suzan.
He expected that Suzan would blush with his comment, but she just ignored.
Without further conversation Suzan headed in.
"Stella, we are in" she said, rudely.
Daniel followed her for the other room, leaving behind Stella and Jacob in the foyer.

'How the time must be running in reverse way in the black hole' thought Stella. While doing that she adjusted her watch to 7.16. But a disturbing thought struck her.
"I am afraid, if Gibson would have been trapped in such black holes." She expressed her concern.
"I don’t think so." Jacob said.
"How can you be so sure? " Stella asked.
"Gibson knows all.... He knows all the rules of the game." Jacob gave an explanation.
Stella slid her torch focus on other black hole, where the rock standing read ‘D4’, with a ‘danger’ mark carved below it. A prism shape carved at the bottom of the rock caught her attention. A flash of dream ran through her mind, in which she saw the similar prism. She remembered the feeling of the touch; she had touched the prism in the dream.
"Then, what’s dangerous about this black hole?" Stella asked, seeing the danger mark.
"Let’s go now it’s too late now." Jacob said, cleverly trying to change the topic.
Jacob headed towards the ‘exit’ well. Stella followed him, surprised by his sudden change in mood.
"Jacob, you have not answered my question." Stella asked while following him.
Jacob still continued to walk. She did not want him to go like that. Stella stopped, stared at him while he was going.
"Jacob, why this black hole is dangerous? " She asked, almost shouting.
Jacob abruptly stopped.
" Right now, I can’t tell anything. Only thing I can tell you is it’s also equally dangerous." Jacob replied.
"Then, when you are going to tell?" she asked stubbornly.
"When the right time comes." Jacob answered.
He continued to go ahead.
" You are trying to hide something.. I doubt that you killed him" Stella shouted from the bottom of her naval, accusing him.
Jacob Stopped.
" I killed him? Why should I kill him?" Jacob asked sarcastically.
Stella came to him, looked into his eyes, "To get me." She said firmly.
Jacob laughed ridiculously.
"I killed him? to get you? You are forgetting that we met after he vanished." Jacob put forth the fact.
Jacob came back and getting close to her, his assuring hand rested on her shoulder. He caressed her shoulder and said, " Stella, just have trust."

Police officer Brat and his colleague officer sat across a table. Brat was visibly uncomfortable. He got up, tossing a photograph on the table in front of his colleague.
“These are the two crooks we need to book.” Brat said.
The colleague officer picked up the photograph. The photo revealed Stella and Jacob sitting in the coffee house.
“ I am doubtful ...No... In fact, I am sure... “ Brat said, Spotting Jacob in the photograph, “ This man must be behind all this.”
“How can you be so sure?” His colleague asked.
Brat completed an anxious round around the table. Resting his hands on the chair, he stood behind the empty chair.
“ ...Because, their intimacy seems to be growing ... They seem to be flourishing as if it’s bloody raining in the hot summer. “ Brat said bitterly.
While Brat and his colleague were discussing in their office, in the den Jacob and Stella were walking together holding their torches.
“You know, why Gibson gets involved in all this.” Jacob asked.
Stella looked at him expecting the explanation.
“Why?” She asked.
“The researcher who created these small worlds believed that, if the artificial worlds can be created there must be other such real worlds... And if we can enter and come out through these artificial worlds there must be way to enter and escape the real other worlds also.” Jacob explained.
“Did he succeed?”
“No, It seems before he could succeed he vanished... And Gibson was after completing his unfinished task.” Jacob said.
“My God!... Is he vanished like the researcher?” Stella was concerned.
Jacob was in dilemma about how to answer this question.

Today it was bustle of Suzan's marriage going on in the church. Suzan and Daniel both stood in their marriage costumes. Suzan was looking beautiful in her white costume and Daniel was looking handsome in his new suit. The priest was carrying out their marriage ceremony and their faces were shining and overwhelming. Probably they were dreaming of their future married life. Their friends, relatives, and well-wishers were gathered in the hall. They were also beaming with the happiness. In the assembled crowd Jacob stood near Stella in the corner of the hall, looking straight ahead at the ceremony. In the same assembly Police officer Brat stood in the other corner. In between, he was keeping an eye on Stella and Jacob's activities.
At last Priest finished the ceremony and declared them husband and wife. Suzan and Daniel kissed each other. The gathered crowd conveyed their blessings to them by a huge clapping.
In the evening their marriage reception party was in its full swing. Stella and Jacob discussing at the corner caught Suzan’s attention.
Suzan remembered the words of Brat, ' An Extramarital affair'
Was Brat suspecting the right thing? ...
Suzan thought.
"Who invited this freak? " Suzan asked Daniel under her breath, making a bad face.
Daniel followed her gaze, shrugged and said, " No, I didn’t."
He stared at Suzan intensely.
"You know honey; bee is always in search of honey." Daniel said jokingly and leaning too close to Suzan.
"Daniel please don’t ruin my mood. It’s not the time for kidding." Suzan said unpleasantly.
Reception party was now in full swing. People were discussing in groups, holding their wine glasses. In between, the bursts of laugher could be heard. Taking advantage of the situation, police officer Brat joined Stella and Jacob standing in the corner, "Hi, Mrs. Stella."
"Hello. "
"I hope I am not disturbing you." Brat looked at Stella with his piercing eyes and said sarcastically.
"Oh... no...Not at all" Stella replied bringing smile forcefully on her face.
Stella introduced him to Jacob, " Mr. Jacob... Mr. Brat."
They shook their hands with each other.
"Nice to meet you."
"You too." Brat said, pressing his hand hard.
" He is Police officer working on Gibson’s case...And He is Gibson’s friend. " He introduced them in detail.
"Did we meet earlier?" Brat said with his typical investigating style.
"I don’t think so." Jacob replied.
Suzan intruded in between their conversation.
"Suzan you are looking so gorgeous today." Brat complimented.
"Thank you." Suzan said blushing.
Suddenly Brat took Suzan aside, as if recollecting something, " Suzan actually...."
"Excuse us" He took permission from the group.
Brat took Suzan away from the group.
Suzan and Brat both were talking something, which was barely audible. Daniel came in there and interrupted, " I hope I am not disturbing you both."
"Not at all. " Brat said.
"What’s the matter?" Suzan asked him.
Daniel held a flower bouquet, sent by somebody, in front of Suzan. Suzan picked up the card tucked in the bouquet. It read ‘Congratulations and heartily best wishes ... from Gibson ...to my lovely sister’
Nobody spoke anything. What they did was just shared a thunderstruck look.

... Coming out of the reminiscences, she found that Jacob had slowed down the car. His car was now approaching slowly to a castle. Stella was transfixed, looking at the castle, with her mouth partly open.
It's the same castle, which once I saw in my dream...
A picture of Gibson coming out of the castle flashed through her mind.
"The same Castle..." the words came out of her partly open mouth.
Stella looked around; the farm around was grown wildly.
"...The same place." She continued.
The car stopped in front of the Castle, Stella and Jacob got down. Jacob carried two torches from the car, one he kept with him and the other he handed over to Stella,
"We’ll need this in"
Jacob headed towards the Castle. In confusion, Stella followed him, fiddling with the torch, still not sure what he was up to.
"Did you come here before?" Stella asked.
"Once... with Gibson." Jacob replied.
"When."
"Around 15 days back ... Come this way." Jacob steered her to the well, which was on the right side of the castle, just adjacent to it. As they came to the well, Stella was transfixed again. The scenes once she saw in her dream ran before her eyes, in which she stood at the edge of the exactly similar well, surrounded by the black rocks and boulders. At the same time she remembered a charcoal sketch of a well kept in Gibson's folder.
Jacob took her further ahead to the edge.
"It seems the well is not used for years together. " She figured out, looking at the surrounding.
"This is not a well.." Jacob interrupted.
"Come... look inside" Jacob said taking her still further to the edge. Stella anxiously went to the edge. Jacob leaned over and helped Stella to look in.
"...Will you just focus the torch in...?" She suggested.
Jacob focused the torch in and Stella looked in.
"You will not see anything, other than the dark. ..The villagers here call this well, a black hole." Jacob said.
She asked, looking at him in amazement, " Black hole? ... What is inside this?"
Jacob did not answer, just stepped back two steps. Stella also followed him.
"Now, be ready. ... We have to jump in this black hole. " Jacob said.
"Jump in!... Are you nuts?" Stella said widening her eyes, assuming he was just joking.
Jacob stood besides her, stared her, waiting for her affirmation.
"I hope you are kidding" Stella said reading his expressions.
" I am serious... We have to jump in. Come on. Come with me." Jacob said with equal seriousness.
Jacob pulled her gently towards the well holding her hand. "No... No ... I can’t. " Fearfully, Stella stepped back retracting her hand.
Jacob thought for a while, touching his temple.
"Well, do one thing.. You just wait here. I demonstrate it to you."
Jacob stepped towards the well. Stella unbelievingly stared at him. Jacob looked back, smiled at her and suddenly jumped in the well.

English Book - Black Hole CH-8 In search of Simon

In front of the castle, near the well, Simons father, mother and other people were gathered. Simon's father and other two people carried ropes along with them. They were releasing rope inside the well to get down. An aged villager suddenly popped up.
" Don’t do anything stupid ... Till now nobody has returned, who entered the well..." The aged villager warned.
Simon's father looked at him, pondered over and ignored him. He continued releasing the rope in the well. As everybody ignored, the aged person left.
They dangled the rope in and Simon's father started to enter in the well with holding it. One end of the rope was in the well and the people standing outside tightly held the other end. They held it firmly and were slowly releasing it.
The first rope ended. Therefore they tied the other one and continued releasing. Slowly the second one also ended and subsequently third, fourth, fifth ropes also ended. They did not have any more ropes to tie.
While releasing the rope inside, suddenly with a jerk, the stretch of the rope vanished. The people holding rope fell behind on their back. They got up; looked at each other with a glimpse of fear in their eyes.
" What's wrong?"
" Did it break?"
One of them shook the rope but there was no response.
Gradually people gathered around the well. Few of them were shaking the rope, still in anticipation that there will be some response from inside, while some of the others were leaning in. There was no sign of life in there, just a black hole. They were in dilemma, what to do next.
Simon's mother broke down, as she must have understood the reality, looking at the gloom faces of the people gathered around. She started wailing. Ladies gathered around her and were trying to console her.
Due to Simon's and his fathers demise, the environment in the village was sad. They neither got their bodies nor did they have a slightest hope to get them. As a symbol of Simon’s and his father's bodies, people kept two rocks in front of their house. People were gathered around those two rocks, which were partially covered with white cloths. The short rock - the boy Simon was laid adjacent to the longer one - the father. Simon's Mother’s sobbing was choked down to breathless whimpering.
Four persons from the crowd came forward, held up two rocks carefully on their shoulders as if holding the dead bodies. As they were carrying the rocks, the lady, boy's mother, got up and started crying again. Other women held and tried to soothe her.
Four persons, with the rocks on their shoulders, headed for the woods. Crying mother and the crowd followed them. Behind all of them, Gibson joined the crowd and followed them with heavy heart.

There was a long pause in between.
All assembled at boardroom looked at each other quizzically.
The voice in the audio again echoed-
“Someway or the other, somebody or the other, had been ruling us since long, as if we are been accustomed to the habit of getting ruled. Prior to this, for 150 years British ruled us ... They treated us very badly like animals.... You will be surprised to know that still somebody is ruling us.. And yes it is true and its not the fact to be surprised but it is a shameful fact.. If we look back to our past ... The advanced science we see today ... the base of this science is been established by Indians long back, during our Vedic era... But these advanced countries do not agree with this.. They have either stolen this science from us or grabbed forcefully from us with their power... As an example ... zero... zero was invented by us... but they still do not agree with this... Pythagoras theorem had been invented by one of our ancestor mathematician Aryabhatta... But today it is famous with a credit to somebody else's name... Jya (Sine) was also invented by Aryabhatta. These are some examples of mathematical inventions... In the life sciences, Aurveda is a gift of Indians to the world... America tried to patent turmeric ... the medical uses of which are mentioned in our Aurveda is a typical example of grabbing others technology on the basis of their power... Using their power with the help of the media they impose lies on us, hiding the real truth.. The invention made by us proves one thing that we were never inferior to them in any way nor we are now.. Today our brain drain to America and Europe only proves the fact.. Then the question arises, if we are mentally superior in all respects than them, then why we are lagging behind them.. The main causes of these problems are -
1. Lack of nationalism in us...
2. Their attitude towards us
3. Their interference in our national policies on the basis of their power... this is the way they are still ruling us indirectly.
Now its time to attract their attention towards us by shaking them... and also it is necessary to make Indians realize their nationalism... That is why we have started this 'Zero mystery' drive... Because it is easy to awaken the sleeping but one who is pretending to sleep, has to be woken up only by a huge explosion.... These people have always misunderstood our non-vioence.... Therefore it is necessary to prove our aggression this way.. Now this is the first step.. We need to do much more things to get back our lost prosperity ... I hope, in fact I am confident that all the Hindus will support our this expedition.. Hindus are much more capable... Be ready for ruling the world..

The message was in Hindi. Nobody in the boardroom knew Hindi. A police officer with Indian base was sitting in the boardroom, who made it easy for the others to understand the audio speech by explaining the meaning in between. There was an awkward silence in the board room.
" My God!'' Boss uttered.
" It is terrorism" Sam said.
" No ... not simply terrorism .. Its Hindu terrorism... earlier we were victims of Muslim terrorism ... now its Hindi terrorism also in the list" Boss said.
" Sir I think now we should try to prevent the next murder" John said.
'' Mr. John now this case is not simply a murder case.. now it has become a phenomenon" Boss said.
" But if we could stop the next murder.. and if we could catch the culprit... then we could get control over it" John expressed his opinion.
" Now there is nothing we can control... Already whole of America is burning in the fire of riots ... And the culprit is not a single cheap killer .. Its a terrorist organization behind it... Hindu terrorist organization"
" But how so quickly the riots got spread all over?" Sam expressed his surprise.
" During 9/11 peoples’ anger had reached to a particular threshold... And now the anger has outburst into riots knowing about one more terrorism.'' Boss said as if he analyzed the people's behavior. That way his study in the field of mob behavior and mob tendency was quite in depth.
Again the peon came in.
" Sir Mayor's phone" He said bending respectfully at Boss's ear.
Boss got up, " Come on ...let us get up ... now we have to handle these riots"
Boss was going out. Except John everybody followed him. John was looking them going with despair.

Ch-50A: Audio (Novel-Zero)

John, Sam and other police officers were discussing about how to catch the killer. John initially encouraged each of them to talk about their ideas. And then considering all ideal found a mid, which he took for discussion. Everybody was given an equal chance in the discussion. This way of discussion was new to everybody, as Boss’s way was totally different. His meetings used to be the dictator’s meetings. This democratic way was appreciated by everybody. Everybody was involved in the topic one way or the other. But they were worried if Boss would come in between and discard everything. And the same did happen; Boss came hurriedly when their discussion was in the middle. He was sweating badly. Seeing Boss’s condition the room became silent.
Some mishap must have happened..
They thought. A peon followed Boss carrying a laptop
“ There has been a problem” Boss said, as he entered.
Pin drop silence. Everybody was eager to hear him next.
“ The killer we are dealing with, is probably not a single person... Rather it must be an organization... Probably a terrorist organization”
“ Terrorist organization?” Everyone’s mouth opened in surprise at once.
It was new information for everybody present there. Nobody had ever thought it in that angle.
“ It was a press call... It is mess everywhere in the city... Those people have released an audio on the Internet..” Boss said in a single breath and gestured Dan to start the laptop.
As Dan started laptop, boss said, “ I have not heard the audio... I think we should first listen to it”
Boss sat before laptop. By this time Dan had started the laptop and opened the Google search engine. Dan has rightly guessed that the audio file was first to be searched. Dan looked at the Boss in the anticipation to know which search string he has to type. That way Dan had good tuning with Boss. He used to know most of the times what was on his mind.
“ Zero Mystery” Boss said.
Dan entered ‘Zero Mystery’ as a search string and clicked a button. Within fraction of seconds hundreds of blue links appeared on the screen.
Everybody pushed their heads ahead as they were eager to see what appeared on the screen.
“ The fourth link” Boss ordered.
Sam clicked the fourth link from the top. A site opened with an audio file link. There were two options – Play and Download.
“ Play it directly” Boss ordered.
Sam pressed the play button. Initially it was silent, as if it was a silence before storm. Then a stern voice echoed in the room. Everybody was silent as they were eager to hear the audio.
